Colour steps, in sewing order
This format stores no thread colours, so the preview uses a distinct colour per step. Click a swatch to set the real colour.
What the viewer tells you
Will it fit my hoop?
Finished width and height in millimetres, and the smallest common hoop (4×4" to 8×12") the design fits.
How long will it sew?
Stitch count, colour changes and trims give an estimated run time at a typical 700 stitches a minute. Play it at machine speed to see the real pace.
Which threads?
Each colour step is matched to the nearest Brother, Janome or Husqvarna Viking thread (CIEDE2000 colour difference). PES and JEF also name the chart thread they store.
Does it sew in a sensible order?
Play it back or drag the needle to see the sewing order, and turn on jumps to see the travel between parts.
